For the next year, Blue Oval carmaker decides to give its Focus Sedan model a vast of improvements in order to stay competitive. The 2019 Ford Focus Sedan will arrive with the wide range of engines and trim levels.
Already tech-rich interior will get an additional boost and EcoBoost engine gets new transmission. The exterior looks really amazing and sharp and the handling is on another level. An ST and RS variants are probable, but not yet confirmed. On top of that, Focus Sedan electric model should arrive in the U.S. markets in the 2020.
2019 Ford Focus Sedan Exterior Design
Generally, there is no big difference between the 2019 Ford Focus Sedan and hatchback model, except body styles of course. Most of the styling cues are basically the same as the both exteriors are adding bulging fenders, sharp lines and angles and sloping roof that looks aggressive. On top of that, some speculations are saying that the wagon variant will become available soon and we believe that it will come with the same design language.
Up front, this sedan holds an Aston Martin-like grille and aerodynamic look. The wheels are ranged from the 15-inch steel rollers to the 17-inch aluminum wheels. Titanium model offers an 18-inch wheel as standard.
Interior Offers More Room
The things are getting better and better for the 2019 Ford Focus Sedan. The interior was already a host to the plenty of high-tech amenities and new model will get even more stuff. New infotainment screen sits higher on the dash and standard display is 6.5-inches long. Moreover, an 8-inch color touchscreen is optional. All of the displays are coming with the swipe and pinch gestures and infotainment system now supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Wireless smarthpone charging is optional as well. Generally, Ford turns its Focus Sedan into a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot and the car locks and unlocks remotely. Also new is a rotary shift dial that was taken from the Fusion sedan model. Rear legroom is better thanks to the longer wheelbase and Ford claims that the headroom will increase by 2.4 inches.
Two EcoBoost Drivetrains
The forthcoming 2019 Ford Focus Sedan will use offer two engine options for now. Standard unit is a 1.0-liter EcoBoost that will deliver up to 99 hp and 123 torque. The optional 1.5-liter EcoBoost generates 148 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque. Both drivetrains will use a 6-speed manual transmission, while the 8-speed gearbox is optional. The ST and the RS models will arrive at some point in 2020, but engine specs are not specified at this time.
All-Electric 2019 Ford Focus Sedan
Moreover, Ford Focus Sedan will get an all-electric version as well. According to rumors, an electric motor/generator will come with 143 hp and with the range of 75 miles, more or less. This variant should become available around six months after the release of the regular model.
2019 Ford Focus Sedan Price and Release Date
The base model of the 2019 Ford Focus Sedan will cost around $20,000. While the hatchback models costs slightly higher, the sedan ST model starts at $27,000. All-electric model will be priced at around $30,000 and RS models will cost over $37,000. This sedan will arrive in the first few months of 2019.
