The truck that is made for towing and hauling purposes is for the sure the famous F-250 model. The newest 2020 Ford F-250 will get some updates, however, the new model will not depart a lot from the current one. The debut could happen next year and we had an opportunity to see new unique approach. However, the spy shots are the only source of information we have for now.
According to leaked spy shots, the front end will get a slight redesign and the taillights at the back are all-new. The dimensions and shape will stay intact and Ford’s latest pickup will be lighter than the current model. The previous interior was roomy and modern so we expect the same level of luxury or even greater comfort. The 2020 F-250 will ride on numerous engine choices, with the diesel and speculated hybrid drivetrain among options.
Minor Exterior Redesign
As we mention, the 2020 Ford F-250 was spotted on the streets wearing camouflage. According to spy shots, we can see that the Blue Oval carmaker will give its latest pickup truck a slight redesign. The side profile will remain the same, however, the front and rear ends will get new features. The front end sports LED headlights and new front grille, while the rear will get a redesigned taillights.
The F-250 will arrive as a lighter model than the current model thanks to heavy aluminum use. Thanks to the high-strength steel materials, this pickup will be tougher as well. The dimension will stay intact, along with the overall shape. The optional tailgate step is optional, just like the power locking tailgate system.
2020 Ford F-250 Interior
The interior of the 2020 Ford F-250 will for sure get some minor updates. Having in mind that the only source of our information is leaked spy shots, we don’t know much about the interior. However, Ford is a well-known carmaker that brings the updates each and every year for every model. With that in mind, this pickup will arrive with the same or even better cabin. That includes better comfort, more luxury,and more standard features.
Engine
We don’t know what will Ford do in the engine department. The biggest mystery is a 7.0-liter V8 engine. According to rumors, this powertrain should replace the existing 6.2-liter V8 gasoline unit. Until we see what will happen, the 6.2-liter V8 is still the most realistic option. This powertrain can produce up to 385 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque.
The diesel engine is optional and it is a 6.7-liter unit that generates 440 hp and up to mind-blowing 925 lb-ft of torque. Moreover,the diesel engine can tow up to an astonishing 13,000 pounds. All of the engines will use a Ford’s newest 10-speed automatic transmission.
2020 Ford F-250 Hybrid
While we know for sure that the 2020 F-150 Hybrid model will arrive in a two year time, the F-250 model is still under the question mark. If the hybrid variant happens, we can expect much better fuel economy, while the torque and horsepower figures should stay more or less the same.
Price and Release Date
The price of the all-new 2020 Ford F-250 will start around $35,000. Different trim levels and cab options could reach the price over $70,000. This pickup truck will go on sale at some point next year, most likely in the second half of 2019.
