The all-new 2020 Ford Puma is the company’s newest crossover. Now is official, Puma will be available in Europe only, at least in the first year of the production. Many experts are calling it a “smartly styled crossover”. Blue Oval will offer a very modern and attractive model that will arrive with compact dimensions.
And while the design and styling are very upscale, the focus is on the interior. New 2020 Puma will get an astonishing list of technology features. Ford’s CoPilot 360 and massaging seats are just some of the available amenities. Puma ST version is a possibility as well. But for now, the new crossover will ride on a hybrid drivetrain.
2020 Puma Design
The shape of the new 2020 Ford Puma carries a classic company’s signature. Simply by looking on it, you’ll be able to recognize Ford’s vehicle. Whatsoever, the shape is very similar to the European Ford Fiesta model. Interestingly, both models are sharing the same platform. Even the styling is similar and the side profile is almost the same.

An 8-inch touchscreen is available as standard too. Instrument cluster offers another 12.3-inch digital display. Puma comes with a 10-speaker stereo sound system. Logically, upper trim levels will get the premium audio system and larger displays. Optionally, Ford is offering a lot of luxury such as massaging seats. Hybrid Specifacation
When it arrives, the forthcoming 2020 Ford Puma will use a 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine. This engine is mated to a 48-volt mild hybrid system. This mill comes with a stop-start system and it will produce 123 or 153 horsepower. Newest reports are predicting a diesel option as well. Front-wheel-drive will be standard.
All-wheel-drive system won’t be in the offer at all which is a very interesting fact. Another option will be Puma ST-Line. This sporty and performance-oriented version will arrive after the regular model. It will most likely deploy different powertrain and it will surely deliver over 200 horses.
2020 Ford Puma Price and Release Date
Ford’s newest compact crossover will hit the dealerships in Europe this fall. The 2020 Ford Puma is built in Romania. The price will start at $24,500. Or for Europeans, Puma will cost $22,000 euros or 20,500 pounds.
Besides Puma, Ford is offering Fiesta Active and Focus Active models. On top of that, Ford Kuga is available too, along with the compact EcoSport model.
