We hear a lot of rumors about the Ford Bronco model. This popular SUV is ready for its big return and the 2020 Ford Bronco could get its own 4-door version. Of course, these are just rumors for now, but it would be great to see a more practical version of this iconic model.
The Ford Bronco will arrive with at least two engine choices with the diesel drivetrain among them. Plenty of cues and features will be taken from the popular F-150 and Ranger models and the exterior will deliver a certain level of aggressiveness. The 4-door version will bring not any significant changes except, well, more doors. Whatsoever, this body-on-frame SUV will not replace current Ford’s SUVs such as Expedition or Explorer.
Two and Four-Door Version
Just like with the Jeep Wrangler, the 2020 Ford Bronco could get its own 4-door version. The exterior of the upcoming model will look very stylish and modern. However, Bronco will wear some of its old styling cues, and will also share some stuff with the Ranger and F-150 models. This mid-size SUV adds rounded headlights and horizontal front grille.
We can expect two different body styles and two wheelbase lengths as well. According to some rumors, Ford is willing to copy the Jeep Wrangler model and offer both two and four-door variants. Wrangler is perhaps the perfect example of the popularity of 4-door models.
Unique and Modern Interior
The interior of the all-new 2020 Ford Bronco will look very unique. Yes, the cabin looks similar to the Ranger’s cabin, but this is Blue Oval’s design language, so most of the models are sharing more or less the same cabins. The 2020 Bronco offers latest infotainment system that adds a larger touchscreen. Next, to that, a driver information display looks brilliant and it shows all of the important info such as engine temperature and speed.
Rear seats are the biggest mystery for now, as we still don’t know will Bronco arrive as a two or a four-door SUV. On the other hand, Bronco will accommodate five persons, so anything beyond that would be a huge surprise. New Bronco will offer plenty of cool stuff, like a standard push-button start or even a keyless entry. The safety is expected to be on the highest level, just like the comfort.
2020 Ford Bronco Engine and Transmission
The approaching 2020 Ford Bronco offers multiple drivetrain choices. The standard unit is a 2.7-liter EcoBoost, taken from the F-150 model. This engine creates up to 325 hp and 375 lb-ft of torque. An optional drivetrain will be a larger 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost. This output will generate about 40 hp and 45 lb-ft of torque more than the standard engine.
And while the real fans are anticipating a 6-speed manual transmission, 2020 Bronco offers only a 10-speed automatic transmission for now. A part-time four-wheel drive will be offered as a standard. Fuel economy numbers are not available yet, and the diesel engine is still a huge mystery. There is a huge possibility that the diesel variant enters the production, but we don’t have that information right now.
2020 Ford Bronco Price
The 2020 Ford Bronco will cost somewhere around $30,000. This is not official and the Bronco’s price is a mystery at this moment. However, if the Wrangler JK Unlimited model cost $28,500 we can expect for the Bronco to start at a little higher price. Ford’s newest mid-size SUV will hit the markets in the last quarter of 2019.
