2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty: Changes, Trim Levels

While the 2021 Ford F-150 will be the next-gen model, F-350 won’t change that much. The upcoming 2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty will arrive with another mid-cycle refreshment. The sales will start by the end of the year and this could be the last model in the current generation.

That means the 2022 F-350 Super Duty will be the new-gen model with more drastic updates. The design will remain, and the interior will get a small technology boost. Vehicle’s dimensions, shape and even its price are the same as in 2020.

Blue Oval won’t introduce any significant upgrade. The 2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty will mostly remain intact. As we said, the biggest reason for minor changes is that the 2022 model will start the new-generation. Knowing that 2021 F-350 mostly remains and the updates are a part of mid-cycle refreshments.

Minor visual tweaks will happen and Blue Oval could offer slightly more standard features. As for the interior, update on the infotainment system and one or two brand-new driver-assistance aids are a possibility.

2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty Tremor

Engines

Under the hood, the 2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty will offer both gasoline and diesel engines. A familiar 6.2-liter V8 remains standard powertrain option and it delivers 385 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. Relatively new 7.3-liter V8 gasoline is optional. This unit can produce 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. Ford claims that this is the class-leading gasoline engine.

Lastly, there is a turbodiesel variant, a 6.7-liter V8 with 475 horsepower and 1050 lb-ft of torque. The F-350 truck can tow up to 37,000 pounds which is astonishing. Ford will offer a ten-speed automatic transmission once again.

Trim Levels

Trim levels will largely remain. The upcoming 2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty will continue to offer seven trim levels. We must mention new Tremor package that is also available and it adds various off-road features. The base trim level is XL, a typical workhorse version with not so many tech. XL comes with a 17-inch wheels, a rearview camera, removable locking tailgate and a 2.5-inch trailer hitch.

The next one is XLT that delivers alloy wheels, power-adjustable heated mirrors and it also comes with more driver-assistance systems. Lariat is one of the most popular choices at the moment. This model provides a great balance between the number of amenities and the price. Dual-zone climate control, leather seats and power-adjustable seats are available in Lariat. Moreover, F-350 Lariat comes with a larger display. King Ranch, Platinum and Limited are the range-topping trim levels. All three models are well-equipped and are looking more distinctive.

King Ranch adds unique alloy wheels, automatic high beams, keyless entry and LED box lighting. Platinum will upgrade to 20-inch alloy wheels and it will offer LED headlights, adaptive steering and heated/ventilated front seats. Lastly, the Limited trim level is the most luxurious variant. It offers everything as the Platinum model and it adds a surround-view camera, panoramic sunroof and various high-tech features.

2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty Release Date and Price

The latest reports are suggesting for 2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty to arrive later in 2020. That means you should expect this heavy-duty model in the last quarter of the year. The price for the base XL trim level starts at $34,500. After that, the 2022 F-350 will introduce a new generation with more significant changes.
