The forthcoming 2022 Ford GT Supercar is in the works. This model is one of our favorite supercars, like ever. The 2022MY won’t bring significant upgrades, and no one is even mad. Everyone appreciates Ford GT for its dramatic appearance and of course, astonishing performances. Yes, the price is too high, but this is a car with a racing history and much more. Like it or not, but Ford GT Supercar is one of the most iconic supercars in history.
And while some other rivals are powered by an eight-, twelve-, or sixteen-cylinder engines, Ford twin-turbo V6 is what we prefer. It is a loud engine, but that’s what you want from your supercar. As we said, the 2022 Ford GT won’t arrive with drastic upgrades. We only expect to see new packages, more colors and some other visual add-ons. However, the performances will remain.
Pros and Cons
For a start, the biggest issue with the 2022 Ford GT Supercar is its price. Unfortunately, it is how it is, as this is one very expensive car. Besides that, this model is a surprisingly comfortable and livable. As we already said, this is a car with amazing racing history and it is a very reliable and powerful model.
Exterior design is perfect, just like its aerodynamics and athletic stance. Ride quality is superb, logically. However, the interior is too loud in our opinion. Biggest rivals are offering more exotic engines, so the interior is less noisy. If you can ignore this biggest issue, Ford GT Supercar is a must have.
2022 GT Supercar Performances
Change under the hood happened last year. A supercharged V8 is not available anymore. Instead, new 2022 Ford GT Supercar now offers a 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo engine. It is a similar engine to the one found in the current F-150 Raptor truck. This engine is capable of producing 647 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque. Ford offers a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Handling is easy, thanks to GT’s lighter platform, sporty character and impressive aerodynamics. Suspension is another perfect thing about this car.
Ford did a great job with the suspension setup so minor bumps on the road are no problem for the Ford GT Supercar. This model accelerates from 0 to 60 in just three seconds. The fuel economy is rated at 12 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway. It is better fuel efficiency than its rivals have to offer. However, GT Supercar comes with fewer cylinders. As before, this model comes with a standard rear-wheel-drive setup and limited-slip differential. The 2022MY won’t introduce any sort of mechanical upgrades.
2022 Ford GT Supercar Price
The official price is not available yet, but you don’t need it anyway. The 2022 Ford GT Supercar will surely cost around $500,000 or maybe above what. It is a dream car, but its price is too expensive. The sales will begin later this year. Hopefully, Ford will surprise us with some additional upgrades.
