Same Design Language Better Exterior

Ford manages to raise the exterior look on another level. The 2019 Ford F150 Raptor is built on the same design language as the regular F150 model. However, Raptor is slightly wider, six inches to be exact. This dimensional change will provide better stability, which is very important for a such an off-roader. The front bumpers are slightly higher while the headlights are available in LED technology. The 17-inch wheels are available with the latest BFGoodrich all-terrain tires. Thanks to that, this truck can beat all types of terrains such as mud or sand.

At the rear, the tailgate features a huge “FORD” lettering and dual exhaust tips are new as well. Moreover, the receiver hitch is now a part of the standard equipment and it offers two recovery points.

2019 Ford F150 Raptor Interior

The cabin of an all-new 2019 Ford F150 Raptor is quite stunning. It comes with unique leather seats with suede inserts, a center console gets an upgrade and standard moonroof is a great addition. A steering wheel is wrapped in leather as well, paddle shifters are made in Formula 1 style and some areas are finished in carbon fiber accents. Just like the regular F150 model, a large all-digital display is a perfect fit in the gauge cluster and it provides pages and pages of vehicle information.

A Super Crew cab model offers ample rear legroom and the storage is generous too.  The rear legroom is rated at 43.8 inches and it’s a class-leading figure. Generally, the interior offers a great comfort and it brings a certain level of uniqueness. Something the regular model fails to deliver.

A 7.0 DOHC V8 Engine Specs

Some big changes are happening under the hood of the 2019 Ford F150 Raptor. A standard engine is still a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. This twin-turbo unit is capable of returning up to 411 hp and 434 lb-ft of torque. On the other hand, great news for the Raptor’s fans is an all-new 7.0-liter DOHC V8 engine that is producing at Windsor, Ontario. After months of rumors, Ford finally confirmed the speculations about the new V8 mill. On top of that, Ford claims that he upcoming powertrain will provide more horsepower and torque figures than any other previous Raptor’s engine. Moreover, this unit is more fuel efficient and it will provide similar number like on the F-250 model.

However, the V8’s engine specs are yet to be released, but we expect a great performance boost. Based on Ford’s previous moves, a 10-speed automatic transmission is the only logical choice. The new transmission will additionally improve fuel economy and it will provide better gearing at low and high speeds. An all-wheel-drive system is available and it works great with a “Torque-On-Demand” system. This system distributes the power between the front and rear axles which will boost the off-roading experience.

Moreover, the suspension gets its upgrade too, in order to match the new frame. The official specifications are yet to be announced, however, the suspension will be stronger than ever and it will use a Fox Racing shock absorbers.
A hybrid model is a possibility and it should hit the dealerships at some point next year.

U.S. Arrival Date and Pricing

The approaching 2019 Ford F150 Raptor will keep its existing prices. The starting price for the base Super Cab model is $49,000 while the Super Crew will cost $52,000. A fully-loaded Raptor is priced at over $60,000. The latest Ford’s pickup truck will go on sale in the first quarter of 2019.

  1. Not true about V8 for 2019 ford Raptor

  2. Local Ford Dealer has the build info sheet and no V8. Talked with another dealer and was told the same thing. People publish these rumors just so someone will read their articles.

  3. Ford will likely build a new engine, after the bean counters allow full and finished design funding, the union contracts expire on current designs, our illustrious govt doesn’t tax the crap out of fuel or create a displacement tax like Europe has had for decades. Please Ford, ignore all that and give us the variable valve timed dohc 7.0, direct injected, high compression big block we all want. Al Gore will be just fine in his hippo critical SUV.
