The forthcoming 2022 Ford F-150 is about to receive very exciting updates. As you know, a famous pickup truck will offer all sorts of powertrain options. That includes everything from gasoline and diesel engines to hybrid and all-electric variants. Moreover, the F-150 Raptor model will also hit the dealerships. We must mention the Tremor package as well, so the customers will enjoy a wide choice of trim levels, engines, and optional packages.
The Raptor model will reportedly arrive with the supercharged V8 engine, but this is not official yet. The 2022MY will get a lot of improvements, including the interior updates. This pickup truck will hit the markets by the end of 2021.
2022 Ford F-150 Redesign
A new model should introduce a new design. Thanks to that, the 2022 Ford F-150 will arrive with a more modern look. This rivalry between Ford, Ram, and Chevrolet is forcing all three manufacturers to work on more frequent updates. The spy shots are available, so we have an idea of how the new F-150 model could look like.
Blue Oval manufacturer will work on more aggressive styling, especially upfront. The headlights, bumper, and grille will all grow in size, just like the taillights in the back. On the other hand, F-150 won’t change its dimensions. The hybrid variant will look the same as the regular model and even the F-150 Electric is almost the same.
2022 F-150 Raptor With a Supercharged V8?
The all-new 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor is also in the works and this high-performance model will be sold in the United States. Raptor comes with amazing off-road abilities, more aggressive styling, and more ground clearance. Furthermore, this model also offers numerous mechanical upgrades and more equipment. Still, we don’t know which engine will power this impressive model.
The latest reports are suggesting a potent 5.2-liter V8 supercharged engine. This output also powers the Shelby GT500 model so you already know it is a very powerful unit. It can produce around 720 horsepower. If this truly happens, then the Ram 1500 TRX will have a true rival in the future. Raptor currently rides on a V6 engine that generates around 450 horses.
What About Engine Specs?
Once again, F-150 pickup will offer a variety of gasoline and diesel engines. For a start, the 2022 Ford F-150 will offer a 2.7-liter, 3.5-liter, and 5.0-liter gasoline engine options. On top of that, a 3.3-liter is available. As for the diesel choices, Ford offers a 3.3-liter naturally-aspirated variant and a smaller 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine.
This is not everything, as the F-150 Hybrid model will also go on sale. Still, the most impressive version is the all-electric variant that will offer the best performances in the history of the F-150 pickup. All outputs will deploy the same 10-speed automatic transmission.
Release Date and Price
This model will reportedly make its debut in the summer of 2021. However, the coronavirus pandemic could be rescheduled for the first quarter of 2022. Anyway, the 2022 Ford F-150 is in the works and it will be the best model so far.
Blue Oval is yet to reveal all of the pickup’s details, including its updates, specs, and its price. As before, we believe the 2022 F-150 will start at about $31,000 or slightly above that.
